According to the CDC, Black women are three to four times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications than white women. Sadly, this is true regardless of education or income level.
In the U.S., there is still a lack of policies, protocols, and practices in place to support Black birthing women. To overcome the racism and implicit bias baked into our health care system and society, it's going to take collective action. We ask for your support by making a gift to the Center for Black Maternal Health and Reproductive Justice.
